High Speed One
Ebbsfleet is now home to a new international and domestic interchange for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (High Speed One). Britains first major new railway for over 160 years. The High Speed One will be a high speed line running for 109 kilometres (68 miles) between St Pancras station in London and the Channel Tunnel.
In 2007, Kent Thameside became connected to Paris in just two hours and Brussels in one hour and 41 minutes. The domestic services from Ebbsfleet into London are scheduled to start in late 2009 resulting in Kent Thameside being only 10 minutes from Central London.
The new station in Ebbsfleet Valley is strategically located close to the M25/A2 junction, the M2 and A2. It will offer 9,000 car parking spaces and the fastrack service.
