A vision for the future
Set in around seven acres of parkland beside the formal landscaped grounds on the site of a medieval castle, Waterstone Park is a flourishing community with exceptional new homes close to the broad expanse of the Thames estuary at Dartford, Kent. With award winning innovative architecture and high standards in environmental sustainability, the homes are varied in their design, but flow and blend seamlessly, whilst areas of open space provide a dramatic backdrop.
Tree lined avenues have been created and the castle grounds restored. Within Waterstone Park, children’s play areas have been given particular consideration and networks of footpaths and cycleways laid down throughout the less formal areas in which thousands of trees and shrubs have been planted to create a new woodland habitat
Forging ahead
From Dartford to Gravesend, this area has been undergoing startling employment, transportation and environmental improvements. Over the next 20 years, Kent Thameside is expected to create up to 50,000 new jobs, 30,000 new homes and more than 10 million sq ft of commercial developments. The 315 acre Crossways Business Park already contains more than 50 businesses, including three hotels with restaurant and leisure facilities, a lakeside pub and day nursery. Dartford’s Town Centre has also undergone its own transformation, creating a new Market Square with shops, restaurants, cafes and apartments.
The impressive extent of the transport improvements taking place is already evident in the development of nearby Ebbsfleet International Station, providing links to the continent in just over an hour and, from late 2009, reaching St Pancras International in just 17 minutes.
